In January 2008, the Dacorum Partnership launched its Sustainable Community Strategy 'Towards 2021'.
This strategy, which was developed through consultation with the community, sets out the long term
ambitions to make Dacorum a happy, healthy, prosperous and safe place to live work and visit.
The strategy is divided into ten themes and a Forum is responsible for leading each theme

Dacorum Environmental Forum became the leader of the theme 'Creating a Cleaner and Healthier
Environment' and it is DEF's responsibility to ensure that the aims and objectives of this
theme are both monitored and delivered. To ensure delivery, DEF has developed an action plan
in consultation with its members and its partners to ensure that realistic and achievable targets
are set for delivery over the three years (2008-2011). The Action Plan was endorsed by the
Dacorum Partnership Board on 10th December 2008 and by DEF on January 15th 2009. Click
